Information we collect

When you order or contact us, we receive information such as your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, order details, payment status, and messages. Shopify and payment providers process checkout payment details. Our storefront does not collect your full card number in its own forms.

Warranty registration records include your name, phone number, retailer, order reference, computer model, serial number, and registration status. Service requests may include fault descriptions, photographs, and correspondence. Account services receive identifiers used to connect a verified sign-in with your orders.

Our site and its providers also receive device and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, cookie identifiers, and security or transaction events. Information can come directly from you, your browser, the retailer handling your purchase, or providers operating these services.

Why we use information

We use information to take payment, fulfill and track orders, maintain accounts, respond to support requests, register computers, process returns and warranty service, prevent fraud or abuse, understand store use, and maintain business records. We may also use it to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Order and service communications are separate from promotional messages. If you receive marketing email, you can use its unsubscribe option or contact us. An unsubscribe request does not stop essential communications about an existing order or service request.

Google, phone sign-in, and warranty registration

Google and Firebase provide our Google and phone authentication. Google sign-in supplies basic profile information, such as your name and email address. We do not request access to Gmail messages, Drive files, or contacts. Phone sign-in uses your number to send and verify a one-time code; Google also processes phone authentication information for spam and abuse prevention. Message and data rates may apply.

Our account service uses the verified identity and order information to link eligible Shopify orders. Firebase also stores warranty registrations for review by our authorized staff. A registration is a record of the submitted information, not automatic approval of a warranty claim. Never send account passwords, payment card numbers, or verification codes in a support message.

Who receives information

Shopify hosts the store, checkout, and order records. Google/Firebase supports authentication, account linking, and warranty records. Our email provider handles support messages, and carriers receive the information needed to deliver or return a computer. Hosting, content-delivery, security, and analytics services receive the technical information needed for their functions.

We may share relevant details with the retailer handling your order, a repair or fulfillment provider supporting your request, or professional advisers when necessary. Information may also be disclosed to comply with law, protect customers or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections.

Shopify may process information for its own services, including Shop, payment features, fraud prevention, analytics, and personalized shopping or advertising, depending on the services and settings involved. Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy explains its independent uses and privacy choices.

Cookies and browser storage

Shopify and Firebase use cookies and browser storage for functions such as checkout, authentication, fraud prevention, and store analytics. We also use local storage to remember a cart selection and some interface preferences. Embedded demonstrations and media services may receive technical information when their content loads.

You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser, and use any privacy or cookie controls presented by Shopify. Blocking necessary storage may affect sign-in, checkout, or remembered settings. Clearing a browser does not delete order or warranty records held on our servers.

Your privacy choices and requests

Contact support@voltpcs.com or call (888) 568-1071 to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to a copy of your data, to restrict or object to certain uses, to opt out of targeted advertising or sale/sharing as defined by applicable law, or to appeal a decision on a privacy request. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows it.

We may request information reasonably needed to verify your identity and locate the records. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Some records must be retained for transactions, warranty obligations, security, tax, or legal reasons. We will explain an applicable exception or refusal and how to ask us to review it. We will not penalize you for exercising a protected privacy right.

For Shopify's independent processing, use the Shopify Privacy Portal. To raise a concern about our handling of your information, contact us using the same email address and describe the issue; you may also contact the privacy authority with jurisdiction over your concern.

Retention, security, and computer service

We retain information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including the life of an order or account, warranty and support needs, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal recordkeeping. Retention varies with the record; removing an account does not necessarily remove a receipt or an active warranty record.

We use access controls and service-provider safeguards appropriate to the services, but no website or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Providers may store or process information in the United States or other countries where they operate, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

Before sending a computer for service, back up your files and remove personal information where possible. Diagnosis can involve the operating system or storage device, and repairs may erase data. We do not need your personal documents or account passwords for an ordinary order question.

Children, updates, and contact

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact support so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

We may update this policy as the store or its services change. The date above identifies the current version; where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for a material change. Privacy questions can be sent to support@voltpcs.com or raised toll-free at (888) 568-1071.
